Darren Cleverdon is Head of the Family Department and a Partner at QualitySolicitors Dunn & Baker. He has been a Resolution Accredited Specialist for many years and this reflects his commitment to maintaining high expertise in all aspects of divorce and separation cases. He has particularly high skills in dealing with domestic abuse and cohabitation matters through this qualification.
In addition Darren’s vast experience in conducting cases against a background where court is a last resort by utilising the Collaborative Law process and Mediation brings an added dimension and depth to the service that he is able to provide to his clients. Darren has been a Resolution trained Collaborative Lawyer for many years now and as an Accredited Mediator he has been able to extend his skills and enhance his conciliatory approach to assisting couples in what can sometimes be a very tangled, difficult and emotionally challenging situation.
Where it is unfortunately not possible or appropriate to resolve any conflict or dispute utilising collaborative law or mediation then Darren has wide experience of personally representing clients at all levels of the court system and at round the table meetings.
Darren has gained a well-deserved reputation for his practical and effective approach to resolving complex financial and property cases. He commonly handles high value financial cases many of which involve inherited wealth, foreign elements and where necessary the emergency freezing of assets to avoid prejudice to his clients.
He is also a Law Society Accredited Children’s Panel member and this reflects his experience and knowledge of all aspects of children law. Darren handles care proceedings involving Local Authorities as well as complex children cases having foreign jurisdiction issues and child abduction situations.
When not working he spends much of his time walking his Jack Russell terriers, socialising with friends and making home improvements.
