The Ministry of Justice closed the National Mediation Helpline telephone service on Friday 30 September 2011 at 6pm. Court users are now being asked to use a web based directory service on the governments website.
The National Mediation Service is a new service which is available to all court staff, court users and clients direct. This service was launched on Monday 3 October 2011 at 8.30am.
The National Mediation Service is available to all court staff, court users and clients direct. The National Mediation Service has 200 mediators available to assist with disputes. Kathy Trist of Dunn and Baker is one of only 200 mediators included in this nationwide service that is approved by the Ministry of Justice.
The National Mediation Service provides a low cost, entry level service.
