Alison joined the firm in 2015. Alison advises owner managed businesses on a broad range of corporate and commercial legal issues including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, shareholders’ agreements, corporate restructuring, security documents and day to day commercial advice. Alison also advises on intellectual property, including copyright, trademark and brand protection issues.

Recent Experience

Negotiating a complex supply agreement between a local consortium of food and drink suppliers providing catering services to EDF Energy at Hinkley Point C Nuclear Power Station – a project with major regional significance;

Advice on share buyback arrangements to allow shareholders in a private company to exit a successful procurement business;

Managing business sales, share sales and acquisitions with a value ranging between £500, 000 – £3.5M;

MBO sale of large regional insurance brokers;

Advising a large veterinary practice on the transfer of its business to a new company and LLP structure; preparing the new shareholders’ agreement and LLP agreement;

Advising on the merger of 2 bodywork repair companies to operate through a newly formed joint venture company;

Advising on trademark infringement, copyright and confidential information.

Sale of a well known and successful tourist attraction in Bath.

Sale of family run, specialist, insurance brokers to national insurance company.
