We are delighted to announce that two of our Trainee Solicitors, Harry Coombe and James Stone, completed their training contracts in September 2020 and became fully qualified Solicitors.

After six months as paralegals and a further two years’ training seats across various departments, Dunn & Baker Solicitors welcomes Harry Coombe, Solicitor, to the Residential Property Department and James Stone, Solicitor, to the Private Client Department.

In reference to his qualifying, Harry said “It has been a pleasure to be a trainee with Dunn & Baker Solicitors and I’d like to extend my thanks to everyone for their commitment to me throughout my training contract. It has been a whirlwind two years where I have received excellent training and support across all departments. I am excited for the challenges ahead whilst working as a solicitor within the Residential Property Department.”

Regarding his time as a trainee, James said “My training contract with Dunn & Baker Solicitors started in September 2018 and my training seats consisted of Private Client, Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence, Family Law, Residential Property and Commercial Property. I have worked alongside various legal experts at Dunn & Baker who have all given me a high level of mentoring and tutored me in their specialist area of law. Throughout my training contract, being fully involved in client matters enabled me to make an informed decision as to which area I wished to qualify into. My two years of training flew by and I am back where I began my training contract, in the Private Client Department.”

Nick Penwell, Senior Partner, congratulated them both, commenting: “On behalf of the Partnership, we wish both Harry and James all the best in their future careers for what I am sure will be a long and successful association with Dunn & Baker.  For some years it has been our policy to grow our team organically and support our employees in developing their careers with us wherever possible.  Harry and James are great examples of this successful policy.”
