Claire Penhallow

Paralegal

Claire joined Dunn & Baker Solicitors in March 2019 as a paralegal.  She has over 20 years’ experience in both residential and commercial conveyancing.

Claire assists James Goode in the Conveyancing Department and has extensive experience of freehold and leasehold sales and purchases (registered and unregistered land), transfers of equity, remortgages and commercial leases and licences.

Claire has been conveyancing since 1989 when she joined the commercial property department of a firm in the City of London as a trainee legal executive.  Following a move away from London in 1997 Claire took a break from conveyancing for several years to work in the HR Department at Oxford University Press, completing the Certificate of Management at Oxford Brookes during this time. This has given Claire a wide range of skills which improves communication with clients.

Claire moved to Exeter in 2005 and was employed by a local firm of solicitors until moving to Dunn & Baker Solicitors in 2019.

Claire describes herself as hardworking, conscientious and organised and believes that it is important to keep clients informed at every stage of the transaction.
