Kathy Trist

Head of General Litigation

Kathy Trist is a solicitor with QualitySolicitors Dunn and Baker having joined the firm as a newly qualified solicitor in 2004. Prior to this, Kathy had qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 2001 and has been involved with Litigation since 1996. Kathy deals with General Civil Litigation and has a particular interest in Landlord and Tenant Disputes, Employment Claims (both from the Employer and the Employee perspective) and Contract or Property Disputes.

Kathy prides herself on being an approachable and down to earth lawyer. Kathy has a firm but fair attitude and will test cases with her clients and advise at the outset, the strengths and weaknesses of a case and how she will attempt to achieve the clients aim. She will also discuss all funding options available to her clients so they are aware of the likely costs of the steps they wish her to take.

Kathy is also an Accredited Civil Mediator and Chair of the Devon and Somerset Law Society which means that she appreciates the benefits of mediation which is a real alternative to Court proceedings.

Kathy is also a member of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists and a member of the Property Litigators Association.
