Leah Harper

Assistant Solicitor

Leah is a private client solicitor specialising in Wills and Probate. She also specialise in the preparation and registration Lasting Power of Attorney and the registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney with the Office of the Public Guardian.

Leah deals with situations where people have lost capacity without and Enduring Power of Attorney or Lasting Power of Attorney in place. This is called a Deputyship Order and involves an application to the Court of Protection on behalf of family members or friends and allows them to manage the finances and property of the person who lacks capacity as you would do if you had a Power of Attorney in place.

She is happy to undertake either home visits, hospital visits or in some cases attend at very short notice. If you are about to go into hospital or go on holiday, she will ensure that the matter is expedited so that it can be completed within a particular time scale.

Leah prides herself in being able to explain in a clear concise manner the more complicated matters that I deal with to ensure that client is fully informed of the options available to them enabling them to make the decision that is best for them taking into account their own personal circumstances.

Leah is a Student Member of STEP (The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) and is currently studying for her STEP qualifications.

Leah works from both the Cullompton and Exeter offices and is happy to see clients at both locations.
