Nick Penwell

Senior Partner

Nick Penwell is Head of the Private Client Department and a Senior Partner at QualitySolicitors Dunn & Baker. Having been born in Devon and spending a short time in London he returned to this area and has worked within the legal profession since 1984. His particular area of expertise and interest is in the preparation of Wills, Powers of Attorney, Estate Administration and Inheritance Tax Planning with a special focus on the law affecting the older client. He has recently been involved in the administration of some high profile multi million pound estates and his client base extends to all areas of the UK and beyond. He is active on the “Seminar Circuit” and is always willing to give talks to local groups on the importance of Wills and other issues. He has recently widened his experience of specialism to Personal Injury Settlements. Having worked in the profession for over 30 years he brings considerable experience to the firm as a whole. He has been designated the firm’s Compliance Officer for legal practice (COLP) by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. He is a member of the Probate Section of the Law Society, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE). He has recently been awarded the Solicitors for the Elderly Client Care and Practice Award. He is married with two sons and lives in the Teignbridge area.
