We are thrilled to share that our sponsored 20km hike on Sunday 28th September was a huge success!
The team took on the challenge by hiking across the stunning Dartmoor landscape in support of Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF). ELF is a charity that provides support to patients who attend the Haematology Centre for blood cancer at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (RD&E). ELF has provided compassionate and tailored support to families and patients affected by blood cancer through diagnosis, treatment, after treatment, at hospital, and in the local community for nearly 40 years.
We’re incredibly proud of our amazing team, Emily Snow, Neil Starr, Ellie Holdship, James Waite, Darcey Balaam, and Lewis Taylor who took on this challenge with enthusiasm. Their commitment not only helped raise funds but also brought awareness to the incredible work ELF does for patients and families affected by blood cancers and disorders.

The walk was around 7 hours, with a well-deserved break halfway at the iconic Warren House Inn, offering the team a chance to recharge and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Thank you to the generosity of our supporters, the team successfully raised £1,260.00 in donations along with £305.00 in Gift Aid. These funds will directly contribute to ELF’s services, including: counselling and emotional support for patients and families; transport via ELF cars to help patients get to and from hospital appointments; patient and family accommodation close to treatment centres; specialist medical equipment, and so much more.
A massive thank you goes to Gary Moore from ELF who came along with us and Keith from Out There on Dartmoor for the guidance, support, and helping ensure the day ran smoothly.
Every donation, word of encouragement, and step taken has made a meaningful difference.
If you wish to donate to ELF, please find the donation link here.
From all of us at Dunn & Baker Solicitors, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated, supported, and joined us in walking to support this extraordinary cause. Together, we’ve made a real impact for ELF and the community they serve.
