NewsGood Divorce Week 2025

November 14, 2025

The Good Divorce Week 2025 is taking place during the week commencing 10 November 2025, and it is a chance to highlight how separating couples can find a better, more constructive and dignified way apart.

The family courts system is overwhelmed, and whilst many cases unfortunately go to court families do not always need to do so in order to resolve their issues.

Dunn & Baker Solicitors, as members of Resolution, believe that there is a better way to help couples find solutions and problem solve putting the best interests of any children at the heart of the discussion.

Good Divorce Week raises awareness of how families can resolve disputes constructively, reduce conflict and help to minimise the impact of the often challenging issues that arise from separation and divorce.

The Resolution Way

As proud members of Resolution, at Dunn & Baker Solicitors, we believe in embracing the ethos of the organisation. Resolution members are committed to the Resolution Code of Practice — being the cornerstone of their membership. The Code promotes a non-confrontational, solution-focused approach, encouraging communication and cooperation rather than confrontation.

This way of working often saves time, reduces stress, and supports better long-term outcomes, particularly where children are involved. Many Resolution members, including members of our team, have trained as mediators, collaborative lawyers, Resolution Together lawyers, and other constructive methods of resolving issues outside of court.

This Good Divorce Week, we are encouraging separating couples to seek out members of Resolution to help them navigate the challenges that inevitably arise from moving apart.

Putting Families First

Resolution members are committed to managing conflict carefully and deliberately avoid inflammatory language. They also assist clients in understanding the long-term financial and emotional impacts of their decisions.

The widespread adoption of the Resolution Code, and its endorsement by the courts and family specialists, has changed the way family law is practised for the benefit of all concerned, including the metal wellbeing of our lawyers.

Resolution has always pioneered for changes to improve the user experience of family lawyers by clients going through all issues arising from separation and divorce. Resolution have been instrumental in achieving the no fault divorce system that now exists which has, in our experience, helped to make the prospect and experience of divorce more pleasant and manageable. The family team at Dunn & Baker Solicitors are committed to continue that work by helping families separate in a way that promotes dignity, reduces conflict, and focuses on the future.

We know that divorce and separation will never be easy — but as members of Resolution our family team will utilise the Resolution way to keep the discussion and experience as constructive as possible.
