INTRODUCTION
Anne joined Dunn & Baker Solicitors in 2014 having relocated to Devon from Sussex. Anne’s early career was varied involving retail, estate agency and accountancy but she has worked in the area of law since 1996. Although Anne has experience of working within civil litigation, her legal career has mainly been within family law.
TRAINING
Anne completed her Legal Executive qualification in 2001. She is a family law specialist and she has gained extensive experience including divorce and financial remedy cases but has mostly specialised in private and public law children cases along with matters involving domestic abuse.
SPECIALISMS
Anne is passionate regarding the protection of victims of domestic abuse and works closely with the various specialist agencies who offer support to victims and their families. She regularly applies for on notice and without notice non-molestation and occupation orders to preserve the safety of her clients and children. She has extensive experience of the legal aid system and whether this can be accessed for clients who are eligible for and in need of it.
APPROACH
Anne prides herself on being accessible to clients and fully understanding the need to be supportive and assertive to advance their views. She is used to attending Public Law Outline meetings and will regularly assist clients with all issues concerning Children and Young People’s Services. She is accustomed to attending court, assisting barristers and carrying out advocacy whenever required. Anne will help parents and grandparents involved in any Local Authority proceedings including care, supervision, placement, emergency protection and special guardianship orders. In addition, she regularly advises and assists clients in scenarios where the child arrangements need to be resolved, including those of an urgent nature, such as with whom the children should live and spend time with.
