INTRODUCTION
Chris is a Consultant Solicitor with Dunn & Baker Solicitors and is responsible for running the firm’s Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Department. He has specialised in this area of law since qualifying as a solicitor in 2001.
TRAINING
Chris completed a degree in Business & Law, at what is now Solent University in 1995, before going on to complete the Legal Practice Course at Bournemouth University. Chris joined a Dorset firm of solicitors in 1997, initially in the Conveyancing Department, before transferring to personal injury during his training contract in 2000. He was a Partner at that Firm for 15 years, before leaving in 2023. He joined Dunn & Baker Solicitors in 2025.
SPECIALISMS
Chris specialises in all areas of Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence litigation, with a particular focus on cases involving serious, life changing injuries. He oversees the department at Dunn & Baker Solicitors, which handles claims at all levels of severity, from the more minor, through to the catastrophic.
He has considerable experience in fatal claims, arising from both accidents and clinical negligence.
On the Personal Injury side, he has experience in dealing with various types of injury cases, including: accidents at work, public liability claims, road traffic accidents, product liability cases, injuries caused by animals, claims against local authorities. Chris also deals with cases involving sexual abuse.
On the Clinical Negligence side, he deals with a wide range of cases against GP surgeries, hospitals, therapists, and dentists. He has a particular interest in cases involving a delayed cancer diagnosis.
Chris has previously been recognised in the Legal 500 for his specialism in the field of Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence.
He is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.
APPROACH
Chris aims to provide advice appropriate to each client; believing that there is no such thing as “one size fits all” when it comes to legal advice. He is mindful that his client’s are often at their most vulnerable and attempts to deal with them with empathy and compassion.
